The SICT will relocate a turnaround and build a pedestrian bridge to reduce accidents and ensure safe traffic.
To ensure user safety, the Secretariat of Infrastructure, Communications, and Transportation (SICT) will install intersections on the Ciudad Valles-San Luis Potosí and San Luis Potosí-Matehuala highways in San Luis Potosí. Both projects are currently being tendered and will require an investment of approximately 10 million pesos (MXN).
On the Ciudad Valles-San Luis Potosí highway, from km 250 to 251, a turnaround with storage lanes and signaling will be relocated; the investment will be 4.2 million MXN. The solution will be to install deceleration and acceleration lanes and move the current turnaround.
Meanwhile, on the San Luis Potosí-Matehuala highway, a pedestrian bridge will be built at a service intersection, between km 135 and km 136. The project is expected to invest 5.8 million pesos.
A prior assessment of the area was conducted for these projects, aiming to reduce accidents and ensure safe traffic, allowing for greater efficiency in the transportation of people and goods.
