A US citizen was arrested this weekend in the municipality of Atlacomulco, State of Mexico, after neighbors reported the presence of an armed man carrying an aggressive attitude on the street, according to the Nmas website.
At the time of his arrest, he was carrying a badge and identification allegedly linked to the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).
The operation was carried out by members of the State Security Secretariat, in coordination with the Municipal Police and C5 personnel, after receiving a call to the 911 emergency number from the neighborhood.

Reports indicated that a subject was on a balcony, wearing a helmet and green tactical vest, carrying what appeared to be a long weapon slung over his body and a knife in his hand. Given the risk to residents of the area, the officers entered the building, disarmed the individual, and arrested him.
The detainee, identified as James “N,” had a wound on his right hand. He was treated by Municipal Civil Protection personnel and taken to a local hospital, where he was placed under police guard.
During the initial search, officers found a badge and a CIA credential in his possession, although no has confirmed its authenticity.
Subsequently, upon inspecting the detainee’s home, authorities located an arsenal that included:
Handguns and long weapons,
Ammunition of various calibers,
Magazines,
A knife,
Ballistic vests,
Helmets,
Camera equipment, flashlights, and tactical scopes.
Once he was discharged from the hospital, James “N” was handed over to the Special Affairs Prosecutor’s Office (FAE) of the State of Mexico, which opened an investigation to determine his legal status.
To date, authorities have not confirmed whether the US citizen has actual ties to any federal agency in his country, nor the reasons for his presence in the heavily armed State of Mexico.
