A woman went viral on social media after insulting a police officer in La Condesa, an iconic neighborhood in Mexico City, after allegedly failing to pay her allotted parking meter. For this incident, internet users dubbed her the “Racist Lady.”

According to the Mexican capital’s government, parking meters in Mexico City are “a system for the control and regulation of automobile parking on public roads through the collection of a pre-authorized fee.” It operates through a set of infrastructure and oversight elements.

Through a post on X, formerly Twitter, by journalist Carlos Jiménez, better known as C4 Jiménez, a video was released in which the woman nicknamed “Racist Lady” attacked the Mexico City police officer.

At the beginning of the video, the woman could be seen confronting an officer from the Mexico City Citizen Security Secretariat (SSC-CdMx), who was holding a vehicle lock in one of his hands.

“Don’t insult me, don’t insult me, you fucking black guy, don’t insult me,” the woman said, visibly upset and in a loud voice.

The police officer responded to the woman with, “That’s why, go away then,” and after hearing the insult, added, “You’re even racist.”

“Ahuev*, I hate black people like you. I hate them! For being nacos,” the woman replied once again as she got into her gray Mercedes.

“Go away then, go away then,” the police officer responded.

The woman, who was about to leave the scene, turned her head to the window of her vehicle and, staring at the Mexico City police officer, added, “I hate fucking black people like you.”

“Because black people are fine, but assholes: I hate them. Damn,” concluded ‘Racist Lady’.

Why did the woman insult the Mexico City police officer?

According to Carlos Jiménez, the woman reacted violently after she realized the police officer was going to lock her Mercedes while she was parked in La Condesa.

“They were going to lock her Mercedes in La Condesa for not paying the parking meter, but that’s how the police officer got away with it. He just endured the insults. If you see her, be careful,” wrote C4 Jiménez.
