A 3.7-meter crocodile was caught by lifeguards while on one of the beaches in the southern zone, reported the port’s Municipal Civil Protection.

This incident comes after two adult crocodiles have been killed in the city in the space of a week, one of them inside the El Salado estuary, where one or more people entered the Protected Area and cut off the lizard’s head and tail.

In addition, this Saturday, another crocodile was found tied by its snout and legs and with bullet wounds to the head in the Ladrillera area, on Avenida México. The animal measured 1.62 meters. Two people were detained by police at the scene and are under investigation.

In this context, another crocodile was caught this afternoon, where six lifeguard experts participated in the maneuvers aboard the B43 boat and the ZF128 jet ski. “The specimen was handed over to Green Patrol and Environmental Sustainability personnel.

The crocodile was subsequently relocated to a safe area, outside the tourist zone,” the agency concluded. Hundreds of domestic and international families currently enjoy their summer vacations in this port.

El hecho se da luego de que en un lapso de una semana dos cocodrilos adultos han sido asesinados en la ciudad, uno de ellos en el interior del estero El Salado. Foto
