Durango is ready to innovate and demonstrate that great things can be achieved when working together, said Governor Esteban Villegas Villarreal at the inauguration of ExponencIAl DGO 2025 within the Francisco Villa National Fair, a space that brings together technology, creativity, and entrepreneurship to project local talent toward new horizons.
Accompanied by his wife, Marisol Rosso, president of the state DIF (National Institute of Innovation and Development); the mayor of Durango, Bonifacio Herrera Rivera; the president of the Governing and Political Coordination Board of the State Congress, Héctor Herrera Núñez; and the president of the Business Coordinating Council, Raúl Montelongo Nevárez, the governor emphasized that this event reflects the spirit that drives Durango: collaboration, a vision for the future, and confidence in its capabilities.
“I congratulate all the business chambers, the entrepreneurs, and the small and large businesses that organized to make this great exposition a reality. Important projects are being developed in Durango, and with entrepreneurs like you, risk-takers and committed, we will move the state forward. It requires passion, will, and belief in what we are capable of achieving,” said Villegas Villarreal.
During his speech, he also acknowledged that Durango has faced difficult times, but today it is standing strong, working hard for its development, hand in hand with the business sector and society.
The ExponencIAl DGO, located within La Villista 2025, offers unique experiences: artificial intelligence, technology applied to business, podcast production, light and sound shows such as the drone show, a gastronomic area, and more. A showcase for Durango talent that drives economic development and innovation.
From the business sector, the president of the CCE, Raúl Montelongo, expressed his gratitude for the support of the State Government and highlighted the collective effort that made this project possible. “This is the result of working as a team, applying new technologies, and investing in innovation. I thank the chamber presidents and each entrepreneur who gave their all to demonstrate what we are capable of achieving together. With the support of the State Government, we will continue to promote our businesses and generate new opportunities,” he said.
For his part, Mayor Bonifacio Herrera praised the joint work that gave life to this initiative.
“Today we see what can be achieved when there is unity. I congratulate the business sector for always being on Durango’s side and demonstrating their commitment to our development with actions,” he stated.
The inauguration of the ExponencIAl DGO marks the beginning of a new stage in promoting innovation in Durango and reaffirms that, by working together, transformation is possible.
