Following the death of a tourist at the Hotel Pacífica Resort Ixtapa, allegedly due to an electric shock inside his room’s jacuzzi, travel agencies have begun to take action. One of them, Arlette’s Travels, publicly announced the suspension of its business relationship with the establishment.

In an official statement, the agency mourned the death of Mr. Sagid Carreón, who lost his life in circumstances that remain unclear. The company expressed its solidarity with the traveler’s family and assured that its priority is the safety and trust of its clients.

Arlette’s Travels indicated that it was in negotiations to acquire a significant number of rooms at the hotel for 2026, but decided to cancel them immediately and definitively. It stated that it cannot promote a place where travelers’ lives could be at risk and where there are doubts about emergency management and institutional response.

Finally, the agency joined the call for fairness, transparency, and accountability, while reiterating its commitment to safety standards for the tourists who rely on its services.
