The incident occurred on the Tuxtla Gutiérrez-San Cristóbal de las Casas highway at kilometer 46, where officers from the Secretariat of Public Security (SSP), through the Pakal Immediate Reaction Force (FRIP) and the State Preventive Guard, managed to locate these individuals.
The officers began an inspection and found 300 small bags containing apparent marijuana, 1,600 doses of suspected crystal meth in red bags, and 460 more doses of the same narcotic in green bags, four gram scales, three black caps with the legend “CJNG,” a tactical vest, and an electric heat gun.
The detainees stated they belonged to the Jalisco Nueva Generación Cartel and were identified as:
Joseu ‘N’, Jonathan ‘N’, and Leobardo ‘N’, originally from Guadalajara, Jalisco
Enelvia ‘N’, from the state of Oaxaca
Itzel ‘N’, from Mazatlán, Sinaloa
The detainees and the seized items were placed at the disposal of the corresponding authorities to determine their legal status and initiate investigations into the resulting crimes.
