As recently announced, Mérida currently holds the UNESCO Learning City designation. In this way, the “Olimpo en vivo” project contributes not only to providing spaces for concerts by great voices from Yucatán, but also to foster learning and an appreciation for different musical offerings ranging from traditional trova, bolero, jazz, and, in general, all regional Yucatecan music.
