Durango adds 28 new companies and more than 100,000 jobs

With the arrival of 28 new companies, Durango is experiencing a period of unprecedented economic growth, with combined investments totaling nearly $8 billion. These projects already generate more than 20,000 direct jobs and 80,000 indirect jobs, consolidating the state as a reliable destination for national and international industry.

In his Third Annual Report, Governor Esteban Villegas Villarreal highlighted two strategic projects under development: Fermachem, which will install a green fertilizer plant in Lerdo with an investment of $1 billion, and Fermaca Network, a high-capacity data center in the capital, considered the largest in Latin America, with an investment of $3.5 billion.

New companies have diversified their presence in different regions of the state. Firms such as Coficab II, LS E Mobility, Daws Durango Sur, Grupo Aeroportuario OMA, Leoni, Arauco, Guadiana Logistic Park, Farmacias del Ahorro, Cofatech, Multipak, Johnson Controls, and Tim Hortons already operate in the capital.

In the Comarca Lagunera, the most notable are Ammega, IPSE, Linamar, Vishay, Parque Industrial Laguna, Ciudad Encantada, Parque Centalia, Kyungshin, Yura, Cisef, and Siete Leguas Automotive; while in municipalities such as Mapimí, San Juan del Río, and Tlahualilo, companies such as Yura Corp, Daws, and Liga Mayor have established offices.

This growth impacts not only job creation but also the dynamics of supply, transportation, construction, and services, strengthening the local economy. New formal jobs with better salaries and benefits provide security and stability to thousands of families.

Governor Esteban Villegas announced a 9 million peso investment to strengthen oral treatments, modernize equipment, and expand service capacity by 40%.
The State Government maintains a strategy focused on leveraging nearshoring and diversifying the economy, with the goal of attracting more investments that translate into social development and consolidating Durango as a competitive economic hub in Mexico and the world.
