In a new round of violence in various parts of the municipalities of Culiacán and Navolato, five men were killed by gunshot wounds and six more were admitted to hospitals with gunshot wounds, including Luis Eduardo, who sought refuge in state government offices.
Judicial authorities were notified that the bodies of two men with gunshot wounds were found inside an abandoned van in the Aguamitas fishing village, in the municipality of Navolato. Therefore, they began the initial forensic work to certify that they were missing persons.
On a road leading from the town of El Tecolote to the municipality of Tepuche, in the northernmost part of Culiacán, the bodies of two young men were found with gunshot wounds and signs of beatings. An abandoned motorcycle was found next to them.
Shortly before this discovery, the head of a person, whose characteristics were not disclosed, was found inside a black plastic bag next to the kiosk in the central plaza of this same municipality.
Inside a home located on Mina Real Street in the 8 de Febrero neighborhood of the state capital, 18-year-old Joe Louis “N” was shot and killed by individuals who arrived at the entrance and surprised him in the yard.
In a parking lot connected to the State Services Unit, armed men attempted to deprive Luis Eduardo “N,” 38, of his liberty. He ran away, resulting in a gunshot wound, but managed to hide in the restroom. Shortly after, the arrest of two armed men wearing tactical gear was announced.
On José Rosas Moreno Street in the Bachigualato neighborhood of Culiacán, a father and son, Jesús Alfonso “N” and Jesús Elías “N,” both 17 years old and blacksmiths, were shot by unknown assailants while working. Both were taken to a hospital with gunshot wounds.
A report from a hospital in the state capital notified the State Attorney General’s Office of the admission of Fausto “N,” Héctor “N,” and Jesús Manuel “N,” the latter aged 19, with gunshot wounds. The location of the incident was not disclosed.
