A minor is among those injured in the hospital attack.
The violence in Sinaloa continues unabated. This time, the Ministry of Public Security reported that three people died after an armed attack that occurred outside the Culiacán Civil Hospital.
Authorities received several reports of gunshots around 9:00 p.m. on Friday, August 29.
Three people die in armed attack
Initial reports indicate that an armed group fired several shots in front of the Culiacán Civil Hospital at some people sitting among the flower pots. The attack left three people dead and four more injured.
According to witnesses, the men shot everyone regardless of anything, including a 13-year-old boy and two women among the injured.
The motive for the attack, who was targeted, or whether it was a settling of scores, is currently unknown.
Authorities located an abandoned vehicle a few blocks from the hospital with some spent shell casings, leading to suspicions that this may have been the vehicle used in the attack.
They also confirmed that they are already investigating the case to find those responsible and clarify the motives for the attack. Sadly, this is not an isolated case, and residents of the region have had to get used to this type of confrontation, even if they have nothing to do with it.
