The rains that fell overnight and early this morning caused a landslide in the rocky area of Paseo del Centenario, near the roundabout, forcing the Municipal Civil Protection Coordination to delimit the area to avoid risks to the public.

This was reported by Óscar Roberto Osuna Tirado, Civil Protection Coordinator, who explained that pedestrian access was restricted to prevent accidents among people who frequently visit the site for various recreational activities.

Regarding vehicular traffic, authorities urged drivers to take precautions when driving in the area, as softening of the ground could pose an additional risk.

Civil Protection reported that in the coming days, the corresponding departments will carry out the necessary work to ensure safety at the site. Once the work is completed, an announcement will be made regarding the reopening of the site to the public.
