Dolores Hidalgo, Birthplace of National Independence, Gto. – Mayor Adrián Hernández Alejandri clarified that the construction of the new Bus Station is not a municipal project, but rather a private enterprise, in which the City Council has acted solely as a facilitator and manager for its relocation outside the historic center.
“Let’s remember that the bus station is not a municipal issue. We have been facilitators for this project to be carried out, managers for its removal from the historic center,” the mayor explained.
Hernández Alejandri indicated that, although the project is practically complete, its inauguration will have to be postponed due to a delay on the part of Telmex. “They explain to us that they have a delay with Telmex regarding their dedicated internet service and the connectivity they require to provide good service,” he explained.
The municipal leader added that the opening of this new plant is also important for completing other municipal projects, such as the one currently underway in Ribera del Río, where heavy truck traffic is impeding its full progress.
Although its delivery was originally scheduled for September, the date could be changed, and no new opening date has yet been set.
