The Iztapalapa Mayor’s Office is already preparing for the national holidays. Authorities have announced the activities and artists who will participate in the 2025 Grito de Independencia (Cry of Independence), which is expected to feature a wealth of culture, music, gastronomy, and exhibitions.
This year, the Grito de Independencia in Iztapalapa will take place on September 15th at the Macroplaza Cuitláhuac, located in the San Lucas neighborhood. There will be several surprises that will put the finishing touches on the celebration. Below, we tell you who the artists will be performing at the event.
Who will be performing at the Iztapalapa National Holidays?
The Iztapalapa Mayor’s Office has announced the artists who will be performing at the 2025 Grito de Independencia on its official social media channels. They are singers Rosy Arango and Diego Morán.
Rosy Arango will sing at the Mexican night in Iztapalapa, her hometown and where she has lived her entire life. With more than 20 years of experience in the music industry, her varied repertoire includes albums such as “Mi Nombre es México” and “México Inmortal,” placing Mexican music at the top of the list. Arango has collaborated with great artists such as Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlán, Horacio Franco, Carlos Cuevas, Pedro Fernández, Christian Nodal, and Alejandro Fernández, among others.
Rosy will be in charge of setting the mood for the party and will bring the rhythm of mariachi and regional music to keep everyone singing and dancing. The event starts at 8:00 PM.
The Fiestas Patrias celebration will also feature Diego Morán, who will bring the rhythm of Colombian salsa to the celebration. Morán has a vast collection of hits throughout his career, including songs like “Sobredosis,” “La rebelión,” and “Pal Bailador.” Diego is one of the most renowned Colombian singers in Mexico, and he will bring all his swing and flavor to the night of September 15th.
