Good news arrived this weekend for the agricultural sector in the state of Sinaloa. Rainfall over the last 24 hours contributed to the recovery of the Luis Donaldo Colosio Dam (Huites), located in Choix, with a cumulative rainfall of 60 millimeters. This contribution strengthens its recovery process, which is key to the region’s agricultural and hydroelectric supply.

The Northern Pacific Basin Agency of the National Water Commission (Conagua) detailed that the records correspond to the period from 8:00 a.m. on September 13 to 8:00 a.m. on September 14 (Central Time), with significant rainfall at stations in Sinaloa, Nayarit, and Durango.

Acaponeta, Nayarit: 64.0 mm (40% of the 161 mm threshold).

Huites, Sinaloa: 60.0 mm (56% of 106 mm).

La Estancia, Nayarit: 60.0 mm (37% of 163 mm).

El Quelite, Mazatlán, Sinaloa: 46.0 mm (33% of 140 mm).

Pajaritos, Acaponeta, Nayarit: 34.2 mm (21% of 161 mm).

Rosamorada, Nayarit: 13.5 mm (8% of 163 mm).
