In the context of the commemoration of the earthquakes of September 19, 1985, and 2017, the United States Embassy in Mexico warned its citizens that “earthquakes in Mexico can happen at any time.”
The pregnant woman, whose mother is Ronald Johnson, asked Americans traveling to Mexico this month to register for the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) to receive safety and weather alerts.
“Be prepared! Earthquakes in Mexico can happen at any time,” she said.
