The festival organizers emphasize that the initiative is open to all, with the intention of extending participation to families, cultural groups, students, and independent creators. Participants will have the opportunity to showcase their work, compete for prizes, and be part of one of the most significant celebrations on the state’s cultural calendar.

In total, the festival’s different categories offer more than fifty cash prizes and awards. The contests seek to encourage artistic practice, writing, altar creation, and the creation of catrinas, fostering a diversity of expression around a tradition that is part of Mexico’s cultural heritage.

The 25th Traditional Day of the Dead Festival thus reaffirms the state’s commitment to promoting culture, citizen participation, and preserving the customs that are part of Baja California Sur’s identity, offering a space where creativity and memory collide.
