The agreements signed with the Prosecutor’s Offices of neighboring states aim to exchange information, achieve synergy, and greater achievements in human identification and subsequent restitution.

“The purpose is to improve identification processes, given the significant potential for Jalisco citizens to be present in the surrounding states, and similarly, conversely, citizens from neighboring states may be present in some of Jalisco’s Forensic Services,” added the IJCF Director.

This agreement will implement intervention plans with the implementation of multidisciplinary forensic sciences such as archaeology, post-mortem analysis, forensic genetics, and victim documentation.

Both agencies will exchange forensic, criminal, and contextual information for human identification purposes.

They will also design and implement training, certification, and evaluation programs and processes for the personnel involved in the processes covered by the agreement.

Likewise, discussions are ongoing with the Attorney General’s Offices of Guanajuato, Nayarit, Michoacán, and San Luis Potosí to achieve coordination with the states located in the region.
