Jalisco welcomed 6.4 million tourists during the summer and long weekend: Secturjal

During the summer holidays (July and August) and the long weekend for the Fiestas Patrias (National Holidays), Jalisco received 6.4 million visitors, generating an economic impact of 13.8 billion pesos, reported the state Tourism Secretariat (Secturjal).

The agency stated that during the Fiestas Patrias long weekend alone, the state received half a million tourists and generated an economic impact of 983 million pesos.

By air, the city received 3.3 million tourists through Guadalajara International Airport, a figure that represented a 3.1% increase in domestic travelers and a 1.7% increase compared to the summer of 2024.

According to Secturjal, Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco’s main beach destination, received one million visitors, generating an economic impact of more than 6.054 billion pesos.

The most visited Magical Towns were Tequila, Tapalpa, and Mazamitla, with 320,000 visitors and a revenue of 604 million pesos.
