The UNAM Cultural Dissemination Coordination announced the cancellation of the Music Against Oblivion Festival, scheduled for this weekend at Las Islas de Ciudad Universitaria as the opening event of the UNAM Culture Festival.
In an informational notice, the agency stated that the decision is in response to the events that occurred last Monday at the South Campus of the College of Sciences and Humanities. UNAM Culture expressed its solidarity with the victims and the university community.
The institution reaffirmed its commitment to working to “reduce violence and build a culture of peace” and also announced that the festival program will continue in the coming days at various university campuses.
