At GoKart Manía San Luis Potosí, the 12th round of the championship was announced. It will be held on October 5th at the Súper Óvalo Potosino, the second race of the 2025 playoffs.
“It’s a pleasure to welcome NASCAR Mexico to Zaragoza. We know its importance, not only nationally but also internationally. We know it will be a great event and will generate significant economic benefits for the municipality,” said Amada Zavala, Mayor of Zaragoza.
For his part, Oscar Salazar, Director of Sports Development, spoke about the importance of the NASCAR Mexico race: “They not only bring a spectacle, but also many tourists, and motorsports is a sport that fans really enjoy.”
“We invite everyone who comes to the October 5th race to visit our municipality. We have many natural beauties and a variety of cuisine that many people love. Have breakfast at one of our many traditional food restaurants and then go watch the race from there,” commented Alilei Rodríguez, Director of Tourism for Zaragoza.
Humberto García, Operations Director of NASCAR Mexico, clarified that it will be a race with a lot of adrenaline, given the high stakes: “I’m sure the fans will enjoy a great show. Tickets are also very affordable, costing 180 pesos and available at thtickets.com.”
Alex de Alba of the Aga Racing Team was present. He said that while he will go out looking for victory in front of his fans, he must be very careful, because many races are lost in the first corner, and on a track like the Potosino Super Oval, they are also lost in the last corner of the last lap.
For Víctor Barrales of ANVI Motorsports, the key will be to always keep a cool head: “A distraction or taking more risks than necessary could mean being out of the playoff race, although of course I’d like to win again on my home soil.”
Gustavo Barrales of Peak clarified that while he’s not in the playoffs because he didn’t participate in every race this season, he wants to see the podium for that very reason.
Regarding Bob Espinosa of Mobil, he said he’s already been close to crossing the finish line in first place in several Trucks Mexico races, but has been denied, so this will be one of his goals on October 5th.
Gerardo Hernández, Manager of GoKart Manía, also spoke: “NASCAR is something special, and we’re delighted to welcome you to our home. We’ll be doing some promotions around the October 5th race, and we’ll see you on Friday the 3rd for the autograph signing.”
