Three women were murdered this Wednesday in Tabasco, two of them in the municipality of Jalpa de Méndez, located in the Chontalpa Chica region, and the other case occurred in Centro, whose capital is Villahermosa, local residents reported.
The first case occurred on the outskirts of the former town when two women riding a motorcycle were hit by a vehicle that pulled up alongside them, and from inside, men shot the women, killing both at the scene.
Municipal police officers arrived at the scene and cordoned off the area. Other patrols searched, but did not find those responsible for this double homicide.
The other attack occurred this afternoon in the Atasta neighborhood of Villahermosa, where unknown individuals shot and killed a woman on Melchor Ocampo Street. Red Cross paramedics arrived at the scene, but the woman no longer had vital signs, according to witnesses.
Separately, a National Guard member was injured in the Guadalupe Victoria community after being ambushed by criminals near El Tortuguero Hill.
