More than 50,000 people danced and sang during the traditional Noche Moreliana concert in the historic center of Morelia this Monday.
According to the Morelia Police, more than 50,000 people, spread out along Madero Poniente Avenue, terraces and balconies of nearby buildings, Melchor Ocampo Plaza, and nearby streets, enjoyed the artistic lineup, dominated by regional Mexican music.
After kicking off with Ramiritos Jorge Luis Solís and Sonora de la Luz, Los Freddy’s took the stage to fill the Michoacán capital’s first square with romance.
Claudio Alcaraz then took the stage, offering no shortage of dancing, singing, greetings, and thanking the audience, who in turn sang along and cheered each of his performances.
Claudio Alcaraz offered songs about love and heartbreak, perfect for dancing, whether you’d like to call your ex or not.
Then, the lights around the Cathedral went out to mark the historic monument’s special stage lighting, accompanied by the song Así es Morelia by Karla Elisa.
