“Within Morena, we can’t say that everything is fine; that’s unrealistic, but the fact that much progress is being made and there are important changes is undeniable. President Claudia Sheinbaum is making an effort and doing a great job, but on the other hand, there are Morena supporters who betray their principles, like Adán Augusto, who is truly pathetic,” stated Carlos Medina Alemán, assuring that the president will not hesitate to restore order, even with those at home.
He indicated that people like Adán Augusto and Rubén Rocha Moya, governor of Sinaloa, as well as Américo Villarreal Anaya, governor of Tamaulipas, among others, clearly betray Morena’s principles.
He reiterated that President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo will have a firm hand in punishing the corrupt, even those at home. “It must be noted that the federal government initiated the investigations and carried out everything seen in Tabasco, as well as what it has done in the case of Adán Augusto and his Secretary of Security, Hernán Barreda. Therefore, there will be a firm hand and, ultimately, no one will go unpunished because the president will not cover up for anyone,” he emphasized.
He added that just as there are bad actors, there are others doing good work and helping the president. Proof of this is Claudia’s social acceptance, with 78 percent support. “This acceptance was not achieved even by Andrés Manuel López Obrador himself, so this is saying something.”
The Morena member also added that the people “are not stupid” and are qualified. He said that “the people know things are going well, although the narrative of opposition groups and parties like the PRI and PAN is unsubstantiated, and it’s very difficult to believe them.
Some also question the Fourth Transformation’s reasoning, as they accuse the opposition of being worse when Morena is also doing poorly. But there are also those of us who point out what’s being done wrong, because in Durango we have serious things being done by people who call themselves Morena and who are real crooks and don’t help the Fourth Transformation at all,” he mentioned.
Finally, he said that there are “tight corners in the road” everywhere. He indicated that this has always been pointed out, “but it also cannot be denied that there are substantial changes in favor of the Mexican people,” he concluded.
