Governor Mara Lezama Espinosa announced the resumption of the direct flight between Las Vegas and Cancún, a connection that will operate again starting June 4, 2026, just ahead of the World Cup, after four years of suspension.

The new air link will allow greater international connectivity for the Mexican Caribbean, strengthening the flow of visitors between the two top-tier tourist destinations, the governor emphasized.

The route, which had been suspended for four years, will return nonstop, with a 175-seat 737-800 aircraft. It will operate regularly on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, consolidating Cancún as one of the country’s main tourist and air transportation centers.

Mara Lezama emphasized that this new connection will contribute to strengthening tourism and economic activity in Quintana Roo, generating shared prosperity and well-being for the state’s residents.

“This strengthens air travel, brings more tourists, and helps us move toward what we seek: shared prosperity,” the Governor added.
