In the most recent edition, Mexico ranked 121st out of 143 countries evaluated, reflecting a low level of compliance with the rule of law.
Mexico falls three places in the Rule of Law Index by 2025.
It is observed that Mexico faces significant challenges, particularly in areas such as citizen security and justice, as well as respect for human rights and the fight against corruption in the public sector.
The top-ranked countries with the highest compliance with the rule of law were the Nordic nations: Denmark, Norway, Finland, and Sweden.
