Officers from the Tizimín Municipal Police arrested a man who, in addition to drugs, was in possession of five Molotov cocktails.
The detainee, identified as Moisés N., 21 years old, was riding a motorcycle through the streets of the La Huayita neighborhood. Upon seeing a patrol car, he became nervous and accelerated, but the officers caught up with him and arrested him.
During questioning, the police realized he was intoxicated, which is why he attempted to assault the officers, according to a statement from the local agency.
After being subdued, his belongings were searched, revealing drugs, apparently crystal meth, and five bottles filled with gasoline and cloth wicks—in other words, Molotov cocktails.
The man remains in custody.
