Aguascalientes received the 2025 Tourism Angel Award in the Public Management in Meetings Tourism category, a distinction given to initiatives that strengthen the tourism sector in Mexico.
The award was presented to Verónica González, Director General of the Aguascalientes Convention and Visitors Bureau, on behalf of the state.
The Tourism Angel Awards, established in 2013, recognize individuals, companies, institutions, and projects that contribute to the development of national tourism through innovative, sustainable, community-based, and inclusive practices.
According to the Convention and Visitors Bureau, the recognition comes in the context of the actions implemented by the state administration to promote Aguascalientes as a venue for events, conventions, and meetings across various sectors, all part of the meetings tourism industry.
