It is perhaps one of the most popular and beloved. Located in Michoacán, it is known for its production of Christmas tree ornaments in a wide variety of colors, sizes, and materials. But above all, it’s famous because the town itself resembles a Christmas village, with colorful houses and gabled roofs that make visitors feel as if they’ve stepped into a Christmas fantasy. It was declared a Pueblo Mágico (Magical Town) in 2005.

Atlixco

Located in Puebla, this town, also recognized as a Pueblo Mágico, boasts an Illuminated Village that, year after year, becomes a favorite destination for Christmas lovers. With thousands of colorful lights, it features a different decoration each year, inspired by a specific theme.

Chignahuapan

Also located in Puebla, it is known as the Town of Eternal Christmas. This is because, year after year, ornaments are manufactured and sold in Mexico and other parts of the world. It hosts the National Tree and Ornament Fair, held between October and November.

Creel

Located in Chihuahua, this town, unlike others, doesn’t have colorful houses or Christmas villages, but its natural landscapes between October and March are spectacular. It often snows during this period, creating breathtaking scenery.

Other towns where you can experience the Christmas season in a special way include Real del Monte (Hidalgo), Real de Catorce (San Luis Potosí), and Zacatlán de las Manzanas (Puebla).
