As part of a comprehensive international promotion strategy, the Secretary of Tourism for Guerrero, Simón Quiñones Orozco, met in Acapulco with a group of Spanish journalists who are on a familiarization trip (FAM) to the state’s main tourist destinations.

The visit is part of a coordinated effort between the state government, led by Governor Evelyn Salgado Pineda, the Acapulco Tourism Promotion Trust (FIDETUR), the Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo Convention and Visitors Bureau (OCV), and Grupo Mundo Imperial, with the aim of expanding Guerrero’s presence in strategic international markets.

During their tour, the journalists will learn about the natural, gastronomic, cultural, and historical diversity that distinguishes Acapulco and Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo, as well as experience firsthand the hotel infrastructure and the quality of service offered by both destinations.

The Ministry of Tourism highlighted that these types of actions contribute to strengthening Guerrero’s image abroad, positioning the state as a competitive and attractive destination for international visitors, and thus strengthening the arrival of new tourist markets.
