During her address, the mayor of La Paz addressed the urgent need to strengthen public services and urban infrastructure to meet population growth, as well as the necessity of promoting long-term planning to ensure the continuity of the region’s strategic projects.

Quiroga Romero emphasized that La Paz and Los Cabos not only share geography but also common challenges, especially regarding security, mobility, water, urban development, and environmental protection. Therefore, she stressed that regional coordination is not an option but a requirement to guarantee balance and sustainable development in Baja California Sur.

She also highlighted the role of organized citizen participation as a necessary counterweight to monitor, propose, and follow up on public policies. She noted that an informed and critical society contributes to improving government results and guiding joint efforts for the benefit of the entire population.

The dialogue with the Madrugadores de Los Cabos (Early Risers of Los Cabos), she said, is a reminder that the region’s development is built every day and requires both authorities and citizens committed to the future of the state.
