The Mexico-Querétaro highway heading towards Mexico City was partially closed on Wednesday due to a peaceful protest by farmers against the Water Law. After more than six hours of disruption, the blockade was lifted.
In a report issued at 12:10 p.m. by Caminos y Puentes Federales (CAPUFE), the agency detailed that the protest caused lane reductions in both directions, urging motorists to exercise extreme caution, allow extra travel time, and consider alternate routes.

The agency specified that the partial closure occurred on the Mexico-Querétaro highway near the Palmillas toll plaza, where protesters blocked several lanes. The blockade affected both directions, causing slow traffic and long lines of vehicles in the area.
Authorities advised the public to stay tuned to official announcements, as the situation could change as the protest progressed.
