The organizational process for the 2026 World Cup has reached a crucial point with the selection of destinations in the Mexican Caribbean as venues for the participating national teams’ training camps. The importance of the initiative was also endorsed by representatives of the hotel sector, who highlighted the high level of interest from delegations from countries such as Portugal, Argentina, and Spain, and noted that the facilities are being adapted to optimize their use for sports, including modifications to golf courses and recreational areas.

Furthermore, Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum confirmed her attendance at the draw ceremony, highlighting the importance of this phase for the country’s international profile and the organization of the global competition. With these developments, the region is taking firm steps toward its role as one of the tournament’s main host countries, which will attract global attention and solidify its image as a world-class destination.
