OMA reports that the number of passengers traveling to Mazatlán has increased in one month.

Before the end of the year, air passenger traffic in Mazatlán grew by approximately 21,778 passengers month-over-month, according to the OMA Traffic Report.

Mazatlán International Airport closed October with 121,276 passengers, while November closed with 143,054 passengers. December is expected to close with even more passengers due to the arrival of Canadian flights and new air routes.

The report showed that November had 110,564 domestic passengers, 2,053 more than October, which closed with 108,511 passengers; November closed with 32,490 international passengers, 19,725 more than October, which closed with 12,765 passengers.

From January to November of this year, Mazatlán International Airport closed with 1,575,569 passengers, positioning it as the fifth busiest OMA airport.

Monterrey remains in first place with 14,204,043 passengers; followed by Culiacán with 1,967,682 passengers; Ciudad Juárez with 1,951,441 passengers; and then Chihuahua with 1,776,843 passengers.

December figures are still pending, but are expected to be even higher than November’s due to the recent inauguration of new air routes with TAR, as well as the resumption of flights to the United States and Canada.
