The Oaxaca government welcomed the new winter season flight from Vancouver, Canada, to Bahías de Huatulco. The flight will operate weekly on Sundays.
Ángel Norberto Osorio Morales, Director of Marketing for the Oaxaca Tourism Secretariat (Sectur Oaxaca), reported that this Air Canada route, valid until April 12, 2026, represents an increase in visitors from Canada, a strategic market that has historically shown a strong affinity for this Oaxacan coastal destination during the winter.
He also announced that the aircraft operating these flights has 189 seats, generating 2,835 available international seats. This complements the existing service from Vancouver operated by WestJet, which offers three weekly flights and has been running since October, continuing until April 2026.
Furthermore, he detailed that Huatulco has seen a 2.11 percentage point increase in air occupancy, while highlighting the efforts of the Oaxacan Spring program to ensure that each air route becomes a bridge to development and well-being.
