The Querétaro State Attorney General’s Office reported that, as part of an investigation into the crime of generic fraud, a search warrant was executed at a property where high school studies were allegedly being offered without official accreditation.

According to the authorities, the investigation began after a complaint was filed by an individual who completed approximately five months of high school studies at a purported educational institution. In June 2023, the complainant received a certificate of completion; however, in 2025, when attempting to continue their academic studies at a public university, it was determined that the document was not officially recognized.

In compliance with the court order, the search warrant was executed at a property located in the Plaza Ecológica, on Avenida Pie de la Cuesta, in the San Pedrito Peñuelas neighborhood of Querétaro. During the operation, authorities seized academic certificates, various academic and administrative documents, files, computer equipment, advertising materials, and the property where the alleged institution operated.

The State Attorney General’s Office indicated that the seized evidence will be analyzed as part of the investigation to clarify the facts, with the aim of determining potential criminal liability and whether there are other victims.
