Personnel from the State Highway Patrol continue to provide escort and protection to caravans of Mexican nationals entering Tamaulipas.
The Tamaulipas Public Security Secretariat reported that they did so with a caravan of approximately 250 vehicles carrying Mexican nationals who entered via Federal Highway 101, as part of the 2025 “Paisano Heroes” Program.
State officers maintained constant surveillance to safeguard the travelers’ well-being and prevent any incidents during their journey through Tamaulipas.
The caravan concluded at kilometer 2, on the border between Tamaulipas and San Luis Potosí, where the operation was handed over.
At that point, the caravan was received by authorities from the San Luis Potosí State Civil Force and the National Guard, who continued providing escort into the neighboring state.
The SSP indicated that these types of actions are part of the institutional efforts to offer security conditions to Mexican nationals returning to the country during the December season, one of the times with the highest traffic flow on federal highways.
