Southwest Airlines to launch international flights from Las Vegas to Mexico in 2026

2

Southwest Airlines is finally taking Las Vegas international. Starting June 4, 2026, the airline will launch its first ever international routes from Las Vegas with new nonstop flights to Cancun, Los Cabos (San Jose del Cabo), and Puerto Vallarta. Southwest also says the Las Vegas to Cancun route is scheduled to be the only nonstop on that city pair when it begins.
The early schedule details show this is built for vacation travelers. Southwest plans daily service between Las Vegas and Los Cabos, five days a week between Las Vegas and Cancun (Thursday through Monday), and weekend service to Puerto Vallarta (Saturday and Sunday). A local report also lists morning departure times from Las Vegas and flight times of roughly 2 hours 40 minutes to Los Cabos, about 4 and a half hours to Cancun, and about 3 hours to Puerto Vallarta.
Context: Las Vegas is one of Southwest’s biggest cities, and the airline says it is also boosting frequencies on several existing domestic routes from LAS at the same time. Southwest opened booking for this schedule through Aug. 3, 2026, so these new Mexico flights should already be visible in the system as summer plans start coming together.
