The Yucatán Water and Sewerage Board (Japay) reported that the Mérida III water treatment plant is experiencing power outages, which could result in low water pressure or service interruptions in the plant’s service area.
This includes residential developments and neighborhoods, primarily located in the eastern and northwestern parts of the city.
Among the residential areas potentially affected, Japay listed the following developments: Ampliación Las Brisas, Bosques de Altabrisa, Bosques de Oriente, Brisas del Norte, Chuminópolis, Del Carmen, Del Parque, Emilio Portes Gil, Fidel Velázquez, Gran Royal Altabrisa II, Las Palmas, México Norte, Montealbán, Montevideo, Pinos del Norte, Pinos II, Royal Montebello, Vergel I, Vergel II, and Villareal.
Likewise, the following private residential areas will be affected: San Antonio Cucul, Turquesa, Emilio Portes Gil, Mediterráneo, Miraflores, Montreal Plus, Autotransporte CTM, and the residential developments Puerta del Sol II, Renacimiento Cámara de Comercio Norte, Residencial San Antonio, Residencial Sol Campestre, San Ramón, Villas La Hacienda, Villas Montejo, Wallis, Xamán-Kab, and Xamán-Tan.
The following neighborhoods will also experience water supply disruptions: Los Reyes, Manuel Ávila Camacho, Montebello, Nueva Pacabtún, Pacabtún, Salvador Alvarado Oriente, San Antonio Cucul, San Antonio Kaua IV, and San Juan Grande.
