In presenting Nuevo León as an international tourist destination, Maricarmen Martínez, Secretary of Tourism, pointed out that the state has a diverse offering, as well as infrastructure and services that allow it to cater to different segments, from leisure to business tourism, under a vision of sustainable and competitive growth, aligned with new trends in international tourism.

The Nuevo León Tourism Secretariat held a destination presentation in Paris for media outlets, tour operators, travel agencies, and representatives of the tourism sector, to showcase the state’s tourism offerings and strengthen its presence in the European market.

The event was held in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, through the Mexican Embassy in France, and included the participation of Aeroméxico in the context of the announcement of the direct Monterrey-Paris flight, which will begin operations on April 13, 2026, strengthening Nuevo León’s air connectivity with Europe through Charles de Gaulle Airport.

In her welcoming remarks, the Mexican Ambassador to France, Blanca Jiménez Cisneros, stated that this will strengthen ties between the two cities.

“Mexico is a global tourism powerhouse and is projected to become the fifth most visited country in the world. The launch of this new route will generate new opportunities and reinforce the bonds between Mexico and France,” Jiménez Cisneros noted.

The State Tourism Secretariat highlighted the importance of air connectivity for tourism development and the state’s international profile.

“Air connectivity is a key component for tourism development because it facilitates exchange between destinations and strengthens Nuevo León’s international profile,” Martínez stated.

Emmanuel Oswaldo, Aeroméxico’s Regional Sales Manager in France, expressed his pride in presenting this seasonal route between Monterrey, Nuevo León, and Paris.

“This connection brings two key cities closer together and significantly strengthens connectivity between northern Mexico and Europe,” he explained. “For the airline, this new operation represents a strategic step in our international expansion and our commitment to offering more options, boosting tourism, cultural exchange, and business.

“It also allows us to respond to the growing demand from travelers by offering warm and punctual service aboard Mexico’s most modern fleet,” Oswald noted.

The new direct Monterrey–Paris route, added Ricardo Dueñas, CEO of OMA Airports, reinforces the role of Monterrey International Airport as the main air hub in northern Mexico.

“This connection with Europe not only expands international connectivity options but also positions Nuevo León as a strategic gateway for tourism, business, and investment between both continents.”

During the announcement of the direct Monterrey–Paris flight, it was highlighted that the route will begin operations on April 13, 2026, with three weekly flights and will be operated by Aeroméxico using Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft.
