The ICA, in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, invites creators, specialists, collectives, promoters, and cultural managers to participate in the 2026 Program of Support for Municipal and Community Cultures (PACMyC).
The purpose is to provide support so that cultural projects aimed at safeguarding Mexico’s Intangible Cultural Heritage can develop and have a positive impact on their communities.
The call for proposals is open to groups that defend or are bearers of the living heritage of communities, who could receive a grant of up to 150,000 pesos.
Those wishing to participate can register their groups, which must have a minimum of five members, all over 18 years of age, and recognized by the community in which they wish to develop their project.
The deadline for project registration is Wednesday, April 29, 2026. Prior to this, orientation workshops for project development will be offered from February 12 to March 27 to provide guidance to those wishing to apply.
In Aguascalientes, the workshops will be held on February 12 and March 7.
In Jesús María and San Francisco de los Romo, on February 17 and March 10.
In Pabellón de Arteaga and San José de Gracia, on February 18 and March 11.
In Calvillo, on February 20 and March 12; Rincón de Romos and Cosío, on February 23 and March 13.
In Tepezalá and Asientos, on February 25 and March 23; and in El Llano, on February 27 and March 24.
The workshops are free of charge.
