Oaxaca, Oaxaca. – Located in a large house built in 1874, the Hotel Azul Oaxaca Más Galería offers a lodging experience that integrates art, architecture, and history, allowing visitors to coexist with original works by prominent Oaxacan artists.
During their stay, guests find pieces created by Francisco Toledo and Luis Zárate, as well as works by Rubén Leyva, José Villalobos, and Jorge Dubón, incorporated directly into the design of the hotel.
Each room was individually designed using hydraulic cement mosaics designed by the artists themselves, which makes each suite a unique space without losing functionality or comfort.
The building preserves the traditional typology of Oaxacan houses of the 19th century, with interior patios and corridors. In the second courtyard is the La Llorona fountain, designed by Francisco Toledo, one of the most representative elements of the hotel.
José Luis Bustamante del Valle, owner of the project, said that the hotel celebrated 15 years of operation last December and that throughout this period it has received various recognitions for its concept of art, design, and architecture. Currently, the hotel participates in a new national nomination linked to the gastronomic and cultural experience.
In addition to lodging, Hotel Azul maintains areas open to the public, such as its restaurant and common spaces, which allow you to visit the house and learn about its artistic proposal even without being a guest.
