More than 440 kilometers from Uruapan, Michoacán, the municipality of Tepetlaoxtoc became one of the first points of expansion for the Independent Hat Movement, the political group now led by Grecia Quiroz following the death of her husband, Carlos Manzo, and which also seeks to compete in the upcoming elections.
The movement, inspired by the figure of former Uruapan mayor Carlos Manzo, announced that in the coming days it will begin outreach efforts and an intensive social media strategy, marking its formal entry into the State of Mexico (EMX), a state governed by Morena.
Starting with a grassroots campaign: Through a statement addressed to the public, the Hat Movement announced that it will begin door-to-door visits to talk with residents, listen to their concerns, and gain supporters for its political project, based on the narrative of change driven from the ground up.
