The festivities will take place from February 7 to 15, 2026, with a program that combines religious rituals, cultural acts, processions, dances, and traditional events.
With the traditional Pega de Bando, the municipality of Corregidora gave the formal starting signal to the Traditional February 2026 Festivities in El Pueblito, celebrations that this year have a special meaning as they commemorate the 290th anniversary of the Transfer of Our Lady of El Pueblito to her Basilica, one of the most deeply rooted religious and cultural traditions in the region.

The opening ceremony was led by the municipal president Josué Guerrero Trápala, accompanied by ecclesiastical authorities of the Basilica of Our Lady of El Pueblito and representatives of the traditional corporations.
During the event, information banners were placed at emblematic points of the community, such as the Second Hermitage, the House of the First and Second Dance, the old Municipal Presidency, the headquarters of the Stewardship, and the Parish of San Francisco Galileo, marking the official start of the program.

The February Festivities in El Pueblito, also known as the “Fiesta Grande”, have their origin in 1736 and are considered Intangible Cultural Heritage of the State of Querétaro for their religious, historical, and social value. Each year, they bring together dancers, stewards, pilgrims, and families in a living display of community devotion that strengthens the local identity
