A motorcycle accident in Tulum left businessman and television personality Corey Harrison, known for his participation in the reality show Pawn Stars and son of Rick Harrison, seriously injured.
The incident occurred last February while Harrison was in the Mexican Caribbean. Following the accident, Harrison suffered severe injuries, including 11 broken ribs, a punctured lung, a concussion, and internal bleeding, and was rushed to a hospital in Playa del Carmen.
According to reports from Radio Fórmula, due to the severity of his condition, he was later transferred to Mérida, Yucatán, where specialists stabilized him. During his hospital stay, he underwent three surgeries, in which doctors drained nearly three liters of blood from his chest cavity.
After several weeks of medical care, Harrison was finally discharged and returned to his home in Tulum, where he is currently continuing his recovery. However, sources close to him indicate that he is still experiencing significant pain and remains under constant medical treatment. Faced with the high costs of his hospitalization, close friends launched an online fundraising campaign to cover more than $100,000 in medical expenses, after Harrison himself used a large portion of his own resources during treatment.
The case has garnered international attention due to the involvement of a star of the popular American show Pawn Stars, and because it occurred in Tulum, one of the most visited tourist destinations in the Mexican Caribbean. While continuing his rehabilitation, Rick Harrison’s son remains in Tulum recovering from the severe injuries he sustained in the accident.
