The announcement was made by the Government of Sinaloa, which highlighted the investment and job opportunities the project will bring to the region.
The expansion will be developed by the Mexican company WS Pacific, which plans to invest around 14 million dollars to open up to 12 restaurants across Sinaloa in the coming years.
The project is also expected to generate approximately 400 jobs once the locations begin operating.
According to preliminary information, the first restaurant will be established in Mazatlán before expanding to other cities in the state.
Although the exact location has not yet been confirmed, estimates suggest that the first Wendy’s in the city could open sometime between late 2026 and the first half of 2027, depending on construction timelines and permits.
The arrival of Wendy’s is expected to strengthen the growing restaurant and tourism industry in Mazatlán, bringing the brand’s well-known menu — including its signature square burgers, chicken sandwiches, and Frosty desserts — to the city for the first time.
