A new road closure was reported by the National Guard in the northern part of the state, this time on the Poza Rica–Veracruz highway, at kilometer 63+000, where traffic was completely halted due to the presence of people at the scene.
According to federal authorities, this point is located on a strategic stretch connecting the city of Poza Rica with the port of Veracruz, passing through municipalities and areas with constant traffic such as Papantla, Gutiérrez Zamora, Nautla, and Vega de Alatorre, so the disruption is impacting regional mobility.
Through its digital platforms, the agency reported that the closure remains in place as a preventive measure, and urged the public to take precautions, use alternate routes, and drive with extreme caution in the area.

This report adds to the disruptions previously reported on other highways in the state, where Caminos y Puentes Federales (Capufe) reported the partial reopening of traffic following road accidents.
After authorities reported total closures on various highways this morning due to road accidents, Caminos y Puentes Federales (Capufe) reported that traffic has begun to partially resume in some sections.
In the case of the Ciudad Mendoza-Córdoba highway, at kilometer 298 heading towards Córdoba—where a tractor-trailer overturned and its cargo spilled—the road has been reopened, although with reduced lanes.
The agency indicated that personnel are still working at the site to clean up and address the accident, so traffic congestion persists.
Capufe also reported that the Las Choapas-Ocozocoautla highway, where another accident occurred at kilometer 47, has been fully reopened.
At this location, authorities stated that the removal of the damaged vehicle and emergency response efforts are ongoing. They urged motorists to drive with extreme caution and follow all traffic signs.
For more information on highway conditions, Capufe maintains the number 074, where users can check real-time traffic conditions.
