Government of Morelos consolidates access to knowledge with Museum Fest 2026

As part of the 17th Anniversary of the Morelos Science Museum, the State Government, led by Margarita González Saravia, held “Museum Fest 2026,” a strategic event that strengthens scientific vocations and the right to information through the Ministry of Economic Development and Labor (SDEyT).

This event, coordinated by the Morelos State Council of Science and Technology (CCyTEM) and the Morelos Center for Science Communication (CeMoCC), brought together students, families, and senior citizens. The Morelos Science Museum served as the venue where the community engaged with knowledge and fostered social inclusion.

Jaime Eugenio Arau Roffiel, Director General of CCyTEM, emphasized that the Morelos Science Museum is a key space for the development of critical citizens. Through Museum Fest, the State Government consolidates accessible learning experiences that spark an interest in research from childhood.

During the event, more than 60 activities took place, including interactive workshops, experimental demonstrations, and specialized tours of the Hall of Life, the Astronautics Hall, and the House of Earth. These spaces promote a culture of knowledge relevant to the everyday lives of visitors.

The 2026 edition featured the participation of researchers and centers of excellence such as the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), the National Polytechnic Institute (IPN), the Autonomous University of the State of Morelos (UAEM), and the Polytechnic University of the State of Morelos (Upemor).

Additionally, the Emiliano Zapata Technological University (UTEZ), the National Technological Institute of Mexico (TecNM), the National Center for Technological Research and Development (Cenidet), and the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) joined the event, strengthening the link between academia and civil society.

The Museum Fest not only commemorates an institutional trajectory, but also validates the potential of Morelos youth to build a future based on innovation and social awareness.
