Baja California Sur was recognized as the “Best Destination in Mexico” at the tenth annual Food and Travel Reader Awards, held this past weekend in Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco.
BCS not only took home that award, but Casa Maat at JW Marriott Los Cabos also won in the Best Beach Boutique Hotel category.
For the first time, the awards ceremony was held outside of Mexico City, taking place at the Convention Center in the iconic Jalisco port city. The event welcomed over 180 nominees across 33 categories, in addition to four special recognitions.
This year’s edition also included new categories related to the wine industry and the participation of content creators.
The Visit Baja California Sur platform announced the results on social media and recognized the state’s participants included on the list. “We congratulate our winners and all the local nominees who brought honor to Baja California Sur with their presence on the list,” they stated.
Food and Travel Mexico is a magazine and platform focused on tourism and gastronomy that has been operating in the country for over a decade. The brand organizes these awards to recognize destinations, establishments, and experiences within the industry.
