Mining companies and the Durango State Civil Protection Coordination joined the search and rescue efforts this Saturday for the four miners trapped in the collapse of the Santa Fe mine in the town of Chele, municipality of El Rosario, Sinaloa.
Arturo Galindo Cabada, head of the Durango agency, reported that through the Regional Mutual Aid Committee, the Mining Cluster, and the Mexican Mining Chamber, the state is joining this operation with specialized rescue teams that have been arriving in the area.
The Guanaceví Silver Refinery, Actus Mining of Indé, and Tayoltita of San Dimas are among the companies that have joined these efforts, and Minas de Bacis, of Otaez Durango, is expected to join soon.
“We appreciate the solidarity and spirit of service shown by the state’s mining companies in this effort. Given their proximity to Sinaloa and the specialized training they possess, we are confident that their participation will be extremely beneficial to the miners and their families,” stated Galindo Cabada.
